O Persons three who God are one,
And o’er the earth are sovereign king,
To chanting of your praise give ear
Which rising from our beds we sing.
The newly risen morning star
Proclaims the rising of the sun;
May heav’nly light enlighten us,
For night’s dark shades will soon be gone.
To God the Father glory be,
And likewise to his only Son,
Glory to you, O Paraclete,
While everlasting ages run. Amen.
(Glory is yours, O Trinity; glory is yours, O undivided Godhead, before all ages, now and for ever.)
