V. You have appeared wonderful in the sight of the Lord.
R. Because the Lord has robed you in beauty.
Jesus Christ, who reflects the glory of God, bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power, and who made purification for sins, revealed himself this day upon a high mountain.
Let us pray. O God, in the glorious transfiguration of your only Son, you confirmed the mysteries of faith by the testimony of the fathers, and miraculously foreshadowed in the complete adoption of your sons in the voice which came from the bright cloud; deign to make us co-heirs with the King of glory, sharers in that same glory. Through the same Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
