The Gentiles’ mighty Lord, all hail / All hail, O Israel’s King adored! To Abraham sworn in ages past, and to his seed while earth shall last.

To you the prophets witness bear; of you the Father here proclaims, that all who would his glory see, must hear and must believe in you.

To Jesus, from the proud conceal’d, but to the little ones reveal’d, all glory with the Father be, and Holy Ghost, eternally. Amen.

Ant.1. Jesus took Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain apart, and he was transfigured before them.

Ant. 2. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became white as snow, alleluia.

Let us pray. O God, in the glorious transfiguration of your only Son, you confirmed the mysteries of faith by the testimony of the fathers, and miraculously foreshadowed the complete adoption of your sons in the voice which came from the bright cloud; deign to make us co-heirs with the King of glory, sharers in that same glory. Through the same Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

By your grace may we come to share the glory of Christ.

V. Lord, hear us.

R. Lord, graciously hear us.

Having suffered with Him, may we also be glorified with Him.

V. Lord, hear us.

R. Lord, graciously hear us.

Our Father, etc.
