PRAYER AFTER THE ROSARY

O God, whose only-begotten Son, by His Life, Death and Resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech You, that, by meditating upon these Mysteries of the most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may both imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise. Through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.

ROSARY NOVENA PRAYER

Holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, accept this Holy Rosary which I offer you to show my love for you and my firm confidence in your powerful intercession. I offer it as an act of faith in the mysteries of the Incarnation and the Redemption, as an act of thanksgiving to God for all His Love for me and all mankind, as an act of atonement for sins of the world, especially my own, and as an act of petition to God through your intercession for all the needs of God’s people on earth, but especially for this earnest request: (Mention your request.) I beg you, dear Mother of God, present my petition to Jesus, your Son. I know that you want me to seek God’s Will in my request. If what I ask for should not be God’s Will, pray that I may receive that which will be of greater benefit for my soul. I put all my confidence in you.

HOW TO PRAY THE ROSARY

While holding the crucifix, we say the “Apostles’ Creed”.
Recite the. “Our Father” on the first bead, followed by three “Hail Marys” on the next three beads, followed by the “Glory Be” and the “Fatima Prayer”.
This now leads you to the ‘decades’ of the Rosary. Decades are one single bead on which you recite the “Our Father” followed by ten beads on which you recite the “Hail Mary”, ending each decade with a “Glory Be” and a “Fatima Prayer”.
Closing Prayer: Say the “Hail, Holy Queen”.

While we say a decade, we meditate upon the Mysteries of the Rosary.
There are four Mysteries of the Rosary:
Joyful Mysteries are recited on Monday and Saturday;
the Sorrowful Mysteries on Tuesday and Friday;
the Glorious Mysteries on Wednesday and Sunday;
the Mysteries of Light on Thursday.

PRAYER AFTER THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD

Lord God,
we have seen the light
radiating from Your Son’s birth at Bethlehem,
from His Epiphany,
and from His Baptism.
Bless our lives
as now we return to our routines,
changed by the wonder of the Incarnation.
Amen.

KEEP US CLOSE TO YOU ALWAYS

Lord God,
Your Servant Mary was chosen,
and given the grace
to accept Your Will.
Bless our acceptance of Your Will,
and bless our struggles to accept it.
Keep us close to You always.
Keep our eyes fixed on You.
Amen.

CHRISTMAS PRAISES

Lord God,
these days of Christmastide
are a blessing
through the example
of Your Martyrs and Saints.
It is right and just
that we sing Your praises.
Bless the words of praise
that we raise to Your Throne,
especially through our celebration of Mass.
Amen.

ADVENT: CHRIST IS BORN EVERY DAY

Lord God,
as the world prepares
for the celebration of Christ’s birth,
help us to remember
that He is born in our lives each day.
Bless our awareness
of the awe and wonder of these days,
of Your Majesty
raising our lowliness.
Amen.

INSTRUMENTS OF YOUR MESSAGE

Lord God,
for us to be instruments
Of Your message,
we need to empty ourselves
of pride and ambition.
Bless our efforts
to live only for Your ambition in us.
Bless our hearts
that they might be instruments
of Your Love
in us and for others.
Amen.
