PRAYER IN HONOUR OF ST APOLLONIA

ST APOLLONIA, PATRON SAINT OF DENTISTS AND AGAINST TOOTHACHE – FEAST: FEBRUARY 9th

St Apollonia, Virgin and Martyr, is commemorated on February 9th. St Apollonia was martyred in Alexandria. She was arrested and executed in about 250 A.D. during a riot provoked against the Christians. Her executioners broke all her teeth. She is invoked for the cure of toothache.

PRAYER:
All-powerful
and ever-living God,
You chose the weak
in this world
to confound the powerful.
When we celebrate
the memory of Saint Apollonia,
may we, like her,
remain constant
in our faith.
